We would like to keep you informed on our latest services in Canada and on the updated congestion situation at inland CN Rail ramps.
New Inland Service to Edmonton, AB
We are pleased to introduce our new NW1 service to Edmonton, AB, via rail service. If you are interested in the launch of our new service, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Rail Dwelling in Vancouver
Due to the congestion situation in Toronto, CN is currently metering the railcar going to Toronto. The latest average rail dwell time for Toronto shipments is 25 days whereas dwell time for Montreal shipments remains at 5 days.
CN Services Updates
Toronto:
- CN Empty return bookings has been suspended since Aug30. Upon negotiations, we are only provided with a limited amount of CN empty return allocation each day. Please reserve your RV and gate appointment as long as slots are available. If you have any enquiries, please contact vcr.tsleqc@acgishipping.com
- Effective on October 11 onwards, TSL’s import/export containers will now be transferred to CN Malport terminal. Its sublocation code remains the same as CN Brampton.
Montreal:
- CN Empty return bookings have been increased. Please reserve your RV and gate appointment as long as slots are available.
Vancouver – Coast 2000’s Empty Return Locations
For the empty return locations of different container types & conditions, please refer the to the Coast 2000’s container acceptance page.
Empty return instructions are subject to change based on Coast 2000’s instructions. Therefore, it is recommended that customers should check on Coast 2000’s website before returning any containers.
Gate Charge Updates
Effective on October 1, 2022, a Gate Charge of CAD$165/container will be applied to all the Canadian shipments with Vancouver as its final destination.
